Impulse welder application example: Nut insertion (large nut)

Achieve nut press-fitting through high-frequency (induction) heating.

It is possible to perform nut press-fitting welding using high-frequency (induction) heating. This method is used in automotive intake manifolds, air filters, and more. - Principle: When current flows through a coil connected to an AC power source, eddy currents are generated in the metal inserted into the coil. This eddy current, along with the electrical resistance of the metal, generates Joule heat, which is used for the nut press-fitting process. - Features: High-speed heating is possible. Since the nut itself is heated, there is minimal heat loss, making this a highly efficient heating method. - Nut size: Up to M10 - Nut material: Brass, iron If you send us a sample, we can conduct experiments and prototypes using our experimental equipment. Automated insert nut multi-axis simultaneous thermal press-in machine! Case studies for problem-solving presented.

Capable of simultaneous insertion of more than 10 units! Contributes to improved work quality, labor saving, and cost reduction! Leave the solution to insert nut challenges to us.

We offer the "Multi-Axis Simultaneous Heat Pressing Machine for Insert Nuts," which was developed from the concerns of small factories. This machine allows for the simultaneous pressing of multiple insert nuts while minimizing strain on the wrist, enabling work to be done without variations in quality or speed due to differences among operators. Customers can choose from automatic, semi-automatic, or manual options based on their needs. It is widely used by factory managers, quality control personnel, and pressing operators, and has received great acclaim due to the quick return on investment for the initial cost of the pressing machine. 【We solve the following issues】 - The tilt or height of insert nuts is unstable after pressing. - If one of multiple insertions fails, the workpiece becomes wasted. - The work takes a long time and puts strain on the hands. *For more details, please refer to the materials or feel free to contact us. If you wish to experience the machine, please apply through the <Contact Us> section, and we will bring a demo unit.

Case studies on solving insert nut press-fitting issues *Case study collection available!

We will introduce a case that solved the issue of wanting to shorten the time required for the pressing operation!

Recently, the number of resin products has been steadily increasing. When producing resin products, various issues need to be considered, and we often receive challenges related to the heat insertion of insert nuts. This time, as we launched a new product, we addressed the customer's request to improve productivity due to the time-consuming process of inserting insert nuts. [Proposal] The conventional manual operation took 77 seconds per workpiece, so we proposed a manual simultaneous insertion machine that reduces the working time to about 35 seconds for four locations. [Result] Typically, two people were needed to handle mass production with the conventional soldering method, but with simultaneous insertion, one person can manage it. As a result, once the day's work is completed, the insertion machine can be easily moved to the edge of the desk or a shelf. Currently, we are producing 10,000 units per month, but due to the reduction in insertion work time per unit, we can now increase production to 16,500 units within the working hours. *For more details, please refer to the PDF or contact us.

Case study on solving the issue of automatic transport insert nut press-fitting *Case study collection available!

We will introduce a case that solved the challenge of considering safety measures to reduce human accidents, in addition to shortening the press-in time for insert nuts and automating the process.

Recently, the number of resin products has been increasing rapidly. When producing resin products, various issues need to be considered, and we often receive challenges related to the heat press fitting of insert nuts. This time, we received a request to stabilize the quality of the insert nuts used in the pressing work of ready-made products, as there has been a lot of variation in quality resulting in defective products, and there is also a desire to improve safety. **Proposal** Since defective products lead to wasted time and costs for parts, we proposed an automatic six-point simultaneous pressing machine equipped with safety devices such as dual-hand switches and area sensors, to minimize the time humans are involved. **Result** The variation in force applied by humans during stage transportation has been eliminated, allowing for more time to prepare the next workpiece, which has enabled further reduction in working time. Previously, the production capacity was about 300 units, but with automation, it has increased to approximately 1,400 units. As a result, we achieved a cost benefit of about 770,000 yen per month due to reduced labor costs, and we were pleased to recover the initial investment in the machine in about five months. *For more details, please refer to the PDF or contact us.*

Case study on solving issues with insert nut pressing in semi-automation *Case study collection available!

We will introduce a case that solved the issue of reducing quality variation due to human factors in the press-fitting of insert nuts!

Recently, the number of resin products has been increasing rapidly. When producing resin products, various issues need to be considered, and we often receive challenges related to insert nut heat press fitting. This time, we received a request to stabilize quality because there was a significant variation in the quality of the press-fitting work for off-the-shelf insert nuts, resulting in about 3% defective products. **Proposal** Since defective products lead to wasted time and costs for parts, we proposed a semi-automatic press-fitting machine that can press four units simultaneously, reducing the time humans are involved as much as possible. **Result** The manual part involves setting the insert nut onto the workpiece and moving the stage to the press-fitting position. By automating the "descend → press-fit → ascend" of the heating element, we eliminated the possibility of inadvertently continuing to apply pressure after the press-fitting was completed. This reduced the burden on the resin workpiece and ensured uniform press-fitting times, resulting in no defective products, which was greatly appreciated. *For more details, please refer to the PDF or contact us.*
